Youth Group Activities and News

Jump! is a new program that kicked off in October for all students in grades 1-12!! It is an evening of fun, celebration, games and learning activities.

     Jump! Master Schedule

CODE: E=everyone, C=children/elementary, M=middle school, H=high school, YA=young adults/college

New Time Schedule:

This schedules allows for those in the kitchen to serve back-to-back meals and get clean-up out of the way prior to the evening’s end.  It gives more time to the Middle & Senior Class time and allows for those teens who have other obligations (work, volunteer commitments, etc.) on Sunday afternoon to arrive a little later IF NECESSARY for supper and their class time together.  It gives less time for elementary supper and more time for them to arrive and have a worship experience.

Mission Opportunities: the following is a listing of mission opportunities at all levels – some old and some new.  Let me know if any of these, at first glance, interest you.

  1. LOCAL: new initiative of Bradley UMC to begin a Kokomo-like project in the Candlelite Dr. area – this would take some extensive planning and volunteer planning, but would like to begin with something this summer…
  2. REGIONAL:
    1. Kokomo Urban Outreach:  March 30, June 29, Aug. 31,  Nov. 30,
    2. Oct. 30 – Nov. 1: Henderson Settlement (Kentucky)
  3. NATIONAL:
    1. July 12 – 18: Crow Creek Reservation (South Dakota)
    2. July 26 – Aug. 1: Crow Creek Reservation (South Dakota)
  4. SEMI-INTERNATIONAL: July 27 – Aug. 2 (Nassau, Bahamas)
  5. INTERNATIONAL:
    1. Spring Break 2009: Costa Rica
    2. Summer 2009: Costa Rica

Softball:

Bradley will once again have a softball team or two participating in the well-organized and well-run co-ed, church-only softball league in Shelbyville. Car pooling for fans and players will be arranged in advance for the entire summer. Players will also be signed up for specific Sundays, so there aren't players making "water" trips, etc. Cost is $12 per person and we'll have team t-shirts this year. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons and we will not be schedule to play 1 p.m. games.
